We have wild primroses growing in our less than perfect lawn - along with wild violets, daisies and celandine - all look lovely at various times of year - there are those around here who would like to use a chemical to rid them from our lawn - but I have strongly refused to do this - I love them!

Are you asking about real primroses or those bright coloured things in the GCs?
My real ones had started on NYD and are still looking good
In the sticks near Peterborough
Ok great didn't no wether to put some in pots from the GC
If you put them somewhere cool and shady they will flower for longer
Don't forget to water either, they hate to dry out.
What do you do with them once they finished flowering? People usually say plant them out, but I'd like to keep mine in a pot for next year.
Oh, OK, that makes sense - they've filled their pot now, so I'll divide and pot up. Thanks!
They're quite forgiving too, so they don't mind being fairly brutally divided!
The native ones are a delight
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
OK, thanks!
