Early Primula

My Primula have flowered early. I understand I need to cut them back. Do I just take the flowers back or should I cut back the leaves too.

I'd just cut the flowers off once they have faded Julie and let the clumps grow or divide them up if they've finished flowering.

What Primulas are they, because it is a normal flowering time for some varieties?

There is no need to cut back the leaves.

  • I would let the flowers run to seed, collect when black and sow in a shady spot, then give them to friends next spring,I love all prims, what variety are they?
