Amazon

I notice that Amazon does quite a lot of plants now. Has anyone tried any of them? I would be interested to know if they were any good.

There are also lots of plants on ebay I am going to try some and see how it goes. I suppose it depends on the seller.

Lou, always look at the reviewers before buying, it does make a difference. It's the usual story some good some not so.

I have bought seeds off Premier Seeds Direct who only sell on e-bay and Amazon. Not only were they inexpensive, there were also a lot of seeds in each pack eg Zebrune shallots - 99p - 400 seeds. No problems with germination either. Everything I have sown sprouted.

I bought a couple of hardy golden fuchsias from Amazon sellers last year. The first to arrive was a lovely plant and it established quickly in a large pot. The second plant was very small and I feared for its health but it eventually got on with the business of growing and was all ready to burst into leaf until we got the frosts this week.

As Dave Morgan says, look at the reviews before buying.

If you can't get the plant anywhere else and there aren't any reviews, look upon it as an adventure.

I bought these in April 13, they were extremely good and are now 3-4' high, some more and all flowered last year.
