I read somewhere that they now do buddleja which is minituare to suit patio pots etc. has anybody had any experience with these? What ones do they do? Any recommendations? Do they actually stay small?? Is the flowering intense?
The Buzz variety they are called, they get to about 1.5 - 2 meters i've been told and they do really well in pots. I have a purple one from last year its about 1.5m now a mass of flower now. I also got a white one last week. I'm keeping that one in a pot.
My buddliea buzz is in a pot in the corner of my front garden, the main root has gone through the pot into the soil, This year it's just over 5ft tall 4ft wide with lots of flowers.
So i would say they grow a bit larger planted in the ground.

Do they get to 1.5 meters when they are in a pot, or is that in the ground?
