Douglas Fir Seedling

Hello, I've been trying to encourage some life into my Douglas Fir since early March last year, in the last three months it appears to have suffered, the leaves are turning orange and it just generally looks like it's on its way out! The plant is only about a foot tall at present but I can't seem to find any advice on how to keep it alive! Any help appreciated!

Maybe it is longing for the moist, cool breezes of Washington state.

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
