I'm a big Monty fan image I hated the japanese garden though - so fussy and all that water. I thought that garden was far too small for all that faff.

Well I would have voted for you, I hate bamboo with the burning hate of a thousand suns image

  • Profound apologies, Hostafan.  I was, clearly, misremembering.

However, your approval of Toby made me smile, recalling all those messages from disgusted posters, some of them clearly frothing at the mouth with indignation!  But, as I said before, nobody can be all things to all men; most certainly not Toby...

I put "beat" in invented commas to indicate it's a mere expression.  Trust me, I was "beaten" innumerable times when applying for jobs(!); but, if there's just one post offered, not all ten applicants can get it, so on with the next one!

Nobody has denied you the right to express an opposing view, as far as I know; and you, just like everybody else, have the right to do so.   However, your persistent Monty Bashing can be perceived as, rather, obsessive, I feel.

    Again, apologies.

    Apology accepted Danae.

I'm sure, and indeed I hope, there's no need to fall out about it.

I could counter by saying the persistent Monty fawning ( and his dogs ) by some is equally obsessive, however , I'd never dream of such a thing. image

Verdun, as is often the case , we are as one with Toby Buckland.

A Toby Buckland fan here too.  The wrong format but not his fault.  Very his style image

There was talk of a new co presenter. Does anyone know if they found one, and if so , who she, or he is?

There was Rachel de Thame last week, is she new? I don't recall seeing her on GW before, but then I only started watching it last autumn. I have to admit I didn't take to her much, a bit too gushing for my taste.
