Staghorn Fern Help!!!

i there,

Need a little help with a Staghorn Fern. I received it as a present just over a year ago and it has been growing well. Though recently it has started to develop brown spots on some leaves, I've noticed these are mostly on the points where the leaves touch the edge of the pot it's in. I wondered what may be wrong, perhaps it is due to wet patches on leaves when watering.

Perhaps the best solution is to cut off affected leaves and then mount the fern on a board?

The spots are at the points where leaves meet pot, aren't they? Have a look at this article - it does stress careful monitoring of moisture etc.

I don't think that your black spots are the " black spot fungus" referred to in the article though.
