Eleagnus.

Hi. Just a one off this. Comment was made recently ref sports appearing on plants. This mature 8 ft tall variegated Eleagnus has rcently finished its foliage change and this all yellow growth (sport) has appeared. I may well take it as a cutting and see if it stays true.

    worth a try but might be a bit too short of chlorophyll to support life life

    Hi n/c. Short of chlorophyll indeed but not that much worse than all the other leaves thereon. I have as previously stated done just this same  thing with Hostas and their marked and detached sports have been grown on and remained true. The thing is I do believe ( open to correction) that this is exactly how so many yellow only foliage plants of all kinds have started their lives. What think you?. Regards.

    Yes, they're all mutations that wouldn't survive without human intervention
