removing old patio and reinstating lawn

Hi all,

I've seen a few threads on the subject of removing a patio and reinstating a lawn and have got some very helpful advice as I plan to do just that this year.

One point which hasn't been answered for me is....

We have a two year old and the main purpose of the project is to replace 55m2 of patio with a lawn in the back garden - there's no lawn at all there at the moment. I'm planning on going for the rolled turf option so how long after laying the turf should I wait before letting my two year old play on it? Should I let it root etc for a certain time first?

Thanks!

  • Hi Kev I did just the same to the rear of our back patio two years ago.

It was done in February. We kept off it for about eight weeks so I would agree with

    Edds advice.

I don't think a two year old would hurt it, unless he's a dab hand with a fork or trowelimage
