Fir trees dying

I have some rows of well established fir trees (Thuja?) in my garden. They are spaced closely between 1.0-1.5 apart in a row, and appear to be dying starting with the middle trees. (Sorry, pics load upside down no matter what I do).

It seems to start with yellowing of leaves and dark 'burnt' spots, but progresses to browning of leaves. It looks like the trees are dying.

Suggestions???

Thanks

Sorry Mike they are dying/dead. If they are Thuja it could be Thuja blight for which there is no chemical control commercially available. I'd get them out asap. You may lose the lot so Id look for other options to replace them.
