36 square metres is a lot of soil. I take it you are going to buy in a load of top soil. If so, contact a local supplier and then you will be most sure of getting soil compatible with your area. It's best togo for the best grade you can afford.
I have 4 raised beds - 4x8. I filled them with a mix basically top soil with a 100l of multi purpose in each bed and a couple of 60l bags of framyard manure. to start with.
Now each year I add about 60l MP (very clay soil) and a couple of bags of farmyard, in the brassica bed I add chocken pellets rather than farmyard manure
The last lot of top soil - early this year - i bought from the local sand and gravel merchant who had a load of topsoil from drive builders. Insisted I saw before I bought. Quite good quality as most of it was from a garden Did have to shift the lot to the back in rain and was just covered in it.
Then added farm yard mix etc and is now producing large amounts of very tasty courgettes.
Yes, be careful about the origins of any topsoil. I was once offered some by a "man in a van" and, as I needed some to fill in a ditch, I took it. It had been treated with long term weedkiller. Not a happy outcome.
Thanks for the advice,
