Could anyone recommend a nice colourful, fragrant Lavender ( and where to purchase  if online) please? I have chalky soil.

Thankyou

Just remember that the French types (the ones with the 'bunny ears') are not as hardy as the English varieties image

Always a good idea to improve drainage by digging in some grit before planting image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I've had excellent experience with Downderry Nursery. They have a very informative website as well.

I bought Augustifola and as long as youplant it west facing to get the sun its hardy and does well... Iwas lucky and purchased a 6 pack of good sized plants for £1.99p from Lidl supermarket last year...  They look good too..  My locally garden centre wanted £6.99p for one plant and not much larger either....image
