Fruits for Tropical countries

Hi Joe here.

would like to inquire about fruit plants for pots or containers. Need to know what fruit plants that are suitable for tropical countries. I'm currently staying in Malaysia which is hot and humid the whole year.

I am rather new to the gardening worId and I only have a chilli plant growing right outside my compound.

is it possible to plant berries here?

Do you not know someone you can ask?  In my experience there is a wide range of delicious vegetables and fruits you could grow.  It does depend on how long you will be there as to whether some of them are practical.

Can you easily get soil or compost for the pots?

    Google is your friend!

My wife and I spend a few weeks in the West Indes during January and February and as a result know a little about Tropical fruits. However, I cannot imagine a Banana plant growing in a pot or a Mango tree or Pineapple. You could grow Oranges and Lemons (sub-tropical) quite easily. I used to grow them in my heated conservatory but for a decent crop, you would need a few plants. Re growing Berries, try and see what happens.

    General advice is don`t bother!
