brocolli and brussels

I have just been looking at my broccoli and green stuff , first time I have done any veg growing , beat the slugs thanx to Micheal and slug bells , covered  them all to stop pigeons and cabbage butterflies , but they are still being attacked , lots of nibbles ,especially on purple sprouting , ,is there any spray or thing I can use , all hints thankfully recieved ,
