Variety of Purple Smoke Tree

Does anyone know what variety of smoke tree has purple ovate leaves that have a silver edging. My husband bought one of these over thirty years ago for his brother but it was left when they moved house. Now we cannot find out which variety it was despite searches on Google images. Any help in locating the variety would be appreciated as I would like to purchase one for his birthday as a surprise.
