Decking and Patio

Good evening,

Do any of you experienced hard landscapers have a technique as to how to build a deck with a stone paving path through it. The deck is going to be raised off the ground by about a foot, so i was thinking i'd need to build the ground up for a good foundation, or is there a way of laying the decking on the same structure as the boards?

Thanks Edd! So make a trough, fill it with foundation and lay the flags on that?

Hardcore Sam plenty of it, a trench with boarding either side of the path. Do the path first then do the decking. That way you get your level right.
