Garden Pond and Waterfall Frog Invasion

Over last weekend i decided to improve our recently constructed pond by adding a new water fall feature.

We have been trying to encourage frogs, newts and other water creatures into the garden and once the pond was created the watefall was going to be a great addition.

With a few free stones and rocks gathered from friends and a great supply of free pond plants off freecycle i have managed to create a great added feature for our garden.

I cant believe we have new habitants already with frogs moving in already.

Simon that's a terrific job and a great way to work with the 'terraces' in your garden. The water lily looks beautiful. What a lot of pleasure you'll get from it. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • HI Alan the cement was a normal mix of sand and cement but i added a black pool paint seen in image 8 just upto above the water line, even though the cement wont harm the pool it will absorb water over time.
