wet soil

hi.we have a corner in the garden which is 90% of the time always wet and doesnt get loads of sun.We want to cover this corner in stones and make a bit of a rockery but desperately need advice on which plants to use.We have planted some but im assuming beacause of the wetness of the soil they have died.Any help would be great.Thanks

    rockery plants usually like sharp drainage, so if I was you, I would go with the flow, and accept its wet, and make a bog garden.  You can plant moisture lovers such as candelabra primulas and astilbes,hostas, and zantedeschias.  or even a huge gunnera.

    It's not a mess, it's a nature reserve.

    I would do as fidgetbones says. I would love to grow astilbes, but I don't have a wet shade place.

    I agree - that area is crying out to be a gorgeous bog garden - so many wonderful plants you can grow in damp shade image
