My order of trees has arrived woo hoo. Im wondering if you are supposed to stake a multi stemmed birch?  Not actually sure i can, unless i use a very short stake, what do you think?  Its pretty windy here.

    How tall is it?

The order was a 2m one, but ill measure tomorrow as that might not be accurate.

2m is near enough. That will stop quite a bit of wind.  Short stakes are OK, the top can flap around as long as the roots don't.

Yes its 2m.  ill try a short but thick stake.

I would always try to avoid staking, if possible.  If not then short stakes are best.

Sorry, do you mean you try to avoid staking any trees, or you just talking about this case ie m/s birch?
