willow tree

Hi

I have a willow tree and all the leaves have 5 or 6 blisters in them can you help with a treatment i havee attached a photo

    Not much you can do I'm afraid. It is a leaf gall usually caused by a tiny wasp. The blisters are the plants defence mecahanism. Unsightly but don't usually cause the tree any damage. By now the pest will have moved on so if you do want to treat it in future then spray in spring before they arrive but unless it is a small tree I really wouldn't bother.

    It could do. As for which spray to use I don't know if there is a particular one as I have never treated it but would have thought somekind of systemic would work. I take it this is a small tree if you are considering doing this.
