Is it possible to dig up dahlia tubers that you have grown from seed and store to plant out the following year?
yes
Thanks Perki. I will give it a try. At least I will know hat colours they are next year!
Not if you're like me sueschles and mix up the labels. You will be surprised how large the tubers are when you dig them up
so true Lesley,
" oh I'll remember which is which" .
Famous last words.
I have labelled them - I think!
I'm leaving mine in the ground to see what happens. A few years ago I sowed "Bishops Children" dahlias and most still come up each year having been left in the ground. But it is a well drained bed.
Mine beds are quite heavy clay. Think I will lift them. They are also bishops children
