I don't know what they are but if they are what arrive on our conservatory each June for approx' a month and then go, the only thing is to spray them off with water, dunno if they are the same. Tiny little things, minute legs, make hell of a red mess if you squash them, have to dab with wet tissue and soak them up, or rinse off.

I don't know what red spider might is, maybe you've got that, but I thought that was more in greenhouses and treatment was to keep air damp.

Don.t get rid of them. If they are that visible its not spider mite they are sooooo tiny hard to see. The next size up red spider is the predator of spider mite. Do they move very fast?

addict, these things are fast and quite visible, you can see the legs. They get inside and even go on the white blinds. If they are the predator of spider mites dunno what they are feeding on, no mites on conservatory or inside.  We had wondered if they came in the sand that was used on conservatory brick work as didn't have them before. Next door don't have them. Friend does and like us observed that they appear only in June and go after a few weeks.

  • Hi all i had trouble with red spider mite on my angles trumpet when i moved it into the conservatory. Having kept chickens in the past  i had some DIATOMACEOUS EARTH left over which i used on the birds and housing with great sucess. I wondered if it would work on plants, it did with great results. I moved the plant outside and blasted it with the hose pipe then painted  and flicked the dry powder  all over the wet plant with a dry paint brush. It will look a bit messy at first but 3 weeks on and still clear. After looking on line some companies sell the same stuff in small packets but its very expensive. Have a look on ebay or some pet shops and country stores for red spider mite treatmentdiatomaceous earth and the best bit it`s 100% organic hope this helps image
