Plant id please
I recently cleared a flowerbed in our new house, came across a bulb that was about nearly twice the size of my fist, so decided to put it back and see what came up. Photo attached the the progress it has made. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

thank you in advance.

An Allium?
At this point it could be nearly anything small bulbous like. Could be a snowdrop, a chinodoxia, a crocus with seed ball in the middle, an allium indeed, probably best to wait and see. You can always dig it up and put it in a pot and wait till next year to see what happens - or you can leave it where it is and see what happens.
The only bulb I can think of that size is an amaryllis. But they're not usually hardy enough in this country to survive the winter.
Cardiocrinum has a big bulb but the leaves are a different shape.
Crinum has been suggested too.
I'm surprised how little leaf it has for a bulb that size. Crinums put their leaves out like a fan, alternate to right and left but there aren't enough leaves here to see that, though it looks as though theymight develop that way
