What to plant in Daffodil bed?
Hello..I recently enjoyed a wonderful display from approx, 1270 daffodil bulbs I planted in my woodland garden. The mixed bulbs were planted in a designated bed, which is now lookins a little sorry for itself. What can I plant now for a succession of flowers?

Unless you want to spend a fortune buying foxgloves about to flower, I suggest you grow foxgloves in plugs and insert them after the bulbs have died down.
Then next year you will have daffodills followed by foxgloves. Most woodlanders are dying down at this time of year due to lack of light.
Thank you! I do have foxgloves already in the bed..along with bluebells, anemones nemerosa and blanda, dicentra, rhodedendrons, pumonaria, euonymus harlequin, pieris, tiarella and cornus. All doing well..but its the soon- to- be- bare daffodil patches that I need help with. Looking awful at the minute as waiting for leaves and stems to die down completely. Its a very big bed..45 foot by 30 approx..and is in rural Wales.
Hardy geraniums?
Aquilegia
I grow dahlias in my daff. bed... or is it daffs in my dahlia bed? Anyway they give me a very long season of colour.
How about aquilegia? they will bush up just in time to cover up the dying daff leaves, and will cross-breed interestingly as the years go on...
If you want any more daffs, i am selling some 10kg sacks from our farm. i'm pretty sure the are the cheapest on the internet! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300941221978
