    The top one looks like some sort of Broom to me :-/ I'm assuming its spiny and viscious?

    Might be Potentilla fruticosa at the top

    Choisya 'Aztec Pearl' or similar cultivar at the bottom

    Second one I would say.... maybe Rosaceae - Prinsepia uniflora Batalin ?
