Moles...

Hi

We have moles merrily digging their way around the garden, and solar powered sonic repellers are not working (tho they did last year).

Humane suggestions would be welcome!

Humane methods are pretty useless.  You will have to kill it in a trap to get rid of it.

If you scan down to the bottom they recommend a humane trap - they don't tell you what to do with the mole after you've caught it tho'.

See my thread with the Daily Mail article, apparently those children's windmill things stuck in the top of the mole hill work as they don't like the sound..........sounds a bit bizarre to me so don't shoot the messenger image

    Scare off moles

Put a child’s windmill on a mole-hill — the vibrations of the turning plastic blades should deter even the most persistent creatures.

They also hate the smell of orange peel, so a few bits scattered on the grass should keep your lawn intact.
