What is this, and how do I get rid of it?

Hi is anyone able to identify this plant?

It's spread like wildfire through my lawn and borders in a matter of a few weeks. They are sprouting from a small white bulb. Here are some pictures.

Roundup non selective weed killer doesnt help.

Could be one of two things, bluebells the most likely, the smaller ones could be snow drops. You have to dig them out individually. Painstaking but the only effective solution.

Look bluebell-y to me. Bit big for snowdrops? Location suggests something like that anyway image

By the size of them already, I would say they will be the Spanish types.

Isn't it a bit early for bluebells?

Bugger. I suspected they were bluebells but wasn't expecting them to come this early?

So the only effective way is to dig them out? What about those in the lawn?

Chris, do you have any bluebells, snowdrops or allium nearby?

    Let's get back to basics.

So these leaves started appearing around 4 weeks ago I'd say. I can take a close up picture of the bulb if that will that help confirm what they are?

those in the lawn will be killed by mowing Chris, hoe the others before they get too big will see them off. ( whatever they are image)
