Talkback: Whitefly
Lice, whitefly and the like can be treated easily with nettles - simply cut fresh ( not dried - has to sting ) nettles and chop, leave in water for 24 hours and apply using a spray bottle ( make sure to use a fine sieve so it won't clog ).
After about five days the water will turn into a fertiliser but won't be scarying the pests away.

I've just noticed that there are small whiteflies on my parsnips and some of the leaves are curling. The solution above refers to soap based solution - should I just dilute washing up liquid with water and spray? If yes, what's the ratio? I'll also try the nettle solution.
Thanks
No No, not detergent. Detergent will burn the leaves of plants. Use soap that comes in a bar. Or those soap flakes you can buy for washing woollen things by hand. Just mix it as if you were washing your hands in soapy water. But don't spray it onto leaves infull sun. Again, it will burn them.
