Cardiocrinum giganteum
Hello everyone. Just signed up today, been looking on here for a while now and the advice always seems good.
I have several Cardiocrinum giganteum (Giant Himalyan Lily), which are all growing well with several smaller daugther bulbs forming from the big ones.
The problem is that some of the plants have leaves that are distorted and out of shape (a bit like you'd get with peach leaf curl). It almost looks like something has taken a huge bite out of some and they've curled back on themselves. I thought maybe this would be caused by aphids or something similar but i've not found and substantial numbers of any of the plants. Any aphids I have found have been rubbed off.
I also thought it my be caused by lily virus but there are none of the brown/yellow marks on the leaf you get with that.
Anyone got any ideas? I don't really want ot loose the bigger plants as the are going to flower this year i suspect and they only do that after 7 years then die!
I realise this isn't exactly a common plant, probably why I can't find any answers elsewhere.
Thanks in advance for any help.
