Plant identification please

 Hello all,

could someone please help me identify this plant. It has been growing up the side of a building for some years and was given some drastic pruning in July. As far as I know it still survives. (I went to a summer camp and saw it there).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, Catherine

It looks a bit like a quince that is suffering from its nerves.image

Is it one of the Pyrus salicifolia varieties?  We have one very similar in the Botanic Garden in Bristol.
