Flower Supports
A few weeks ago on Gardeners World Monty suggested using 6mm steel rods and bending them to shape to make flower supports, does any body remember this and have any ideas where you can get them near York, I've tried every builders merchant I can think of and am out of ideas...

Yes, I saw it - it was only last week I think. Or maybe two weeks ago.
How about wire coat hangers? They won't last as long but they're free. Ansd easier to find.
Hi Emma
Have a look at this earlier thread - lots of info http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/talkback/rods-to-make-plant-supports-a-la-monty-this-week/833017.html
Try Screwfix or Wickes, they should have them.

I've just picked up my second lot after seeing it on Gardenersworld, I found mine at a steel fabricators.I found them in the yellow pages they cost me £1.50 a rod. They are great and actually work like Monty showed us.
dont forget you will need 2.5 meters long , 6 mm thick and mild steel.
