    Save a few handfuls, bundle them up in a piece of wire netting and in February/March tie it to a fence - the nesting birds will be very grateful for an easily accessible supply of dried moss and grass image

    I don't put it in my compost bin, I have a very quick turn over of compost and moss just takes too long, Dove has the best idea, I bag it up and dump it.
