You can get them for a couple of £ from garden centre or eBay , they will be standard check ph , acid or alkaline soil however there are more substantial ones available but will cost quite a bit more
The solution testers are cheaper and give you a result but if you want more detail or a lot of different areas need testing the meters might be good, I use the solution as they are easy and don't need calibrated

Apologies for 'digging' this old thread up but are the meter testers ok, or should i be going for one of the solution type testers.
