I have acquired some fish, blood and bone fertiliser. Can I sprinkle it around runner beans and other veg plants?

I always fork it in before planting. If you apply it neat around plants it can be too strong. Beans shouldn't need added fertiliser, they make their own in the roots. Too much nitrogen (blood) and you get too much leaf and not enough flowers.
If you sprinkle it after you have planted, make sure you water it in well, and don't leave any on the leaves.
