Next seasons invasive plant.
I bought a lovely lime flowering Euphorbia, which looked spectacular beside a purple Acer. After 2 years it had spread profusely in the garden. Still a good contrast. But it made me wonder will this be one of the next invasive plants that we will be trying to eradicate in years to come. What plant do you think will be added to this list?

Beware of Euphorbia "Ruby Fens", Lysimachia nummularia (otherwise known as Creeping Jenny) and Heuchera cylindrica "Greenfinch" All lovely flowers but very invasive as I have learnt to my cost! Unless of course you need ground cover. The Heuchera is a tall perennial and I try to cut off the flower heads when they die and before they set seed.
euphorbia doesn't bother me - here in the Languedoc, where I am at present, it selfseeds profusely, but is easily pulled up; my bete noir is michelmas daisy - I love those huge swathes of blues and purples in the autumn but how I suffer every spring as the roots run everywhere amongst all the other plants and I end up digging up and re-planting my more choice plants.
Wish I could get heuchera - any heuchera - to grow in my garden. It seems to hate my clay and wet spring soil.
