this is ny third year now growing chilli peppers and i have always had trouble growing scotch bonnets they always seem to get yellowing leaves they are fed and watered but not watered too much and i use chilli focus as their feed but still this year im getting the same problem can anyone suggest what this could be as its frustrating puttin so much care into the seedlings only to see them grow and nott produce 
.. any help would be helpful as all my peppers do so well and leave me with a lovely crop.. they are still in the coldframe but have put them outside now the weathers warmer but still cant see any improvement also what size do they grow as mine are only around 5 or 6 inches high max thank you again

Poor little things. That's not very big for the outside world. I should think they are a bit chilly! Sorry couldn't resist.
ok thank you these are the pictures of them both im sure they look yellowly someone mentioned to me that magnesium deficency could also cause this is this true?
I think this plant looks quite ill and stunted in growth.
anything i can do to help it? the same happened before but all other chilli plants do great i just dont get it im a great fan of heat and a scotch bonnet is just perfect for me

These things are grown in Jamaica in fields by the thousands and the plants are massive. What do you reckon is wrong with your plant now ? I'll give you one guess.
Darren you have to play the game mate. The move stuff in and out game. It is a REAL pain in the butt, 'but' it is all you can do. They need to be coming out of the cold frame into a shaded area for the day for at least a week, then they come out into a semi sunny area or in sun but only for a few hrs. You build it up gradually. Your peppers are probably VERY sensitive to temps, therefore you need to play the game and shift them in and out for a few weeks. Your peppers are in shock, this is why they aren't growing. Minute you help them acclimatise gradually, your problems will cease. Good Luck.
PS (I hate the moving in and out bit myself, does my nut in, but has to be done!)
I don't grow hot peppers outside, only in the greenhouse/environment. The fact that scotch bonnets are grown outside in Jamaica suggests it needs very hot temperatures to be happy.
I say, move them somewhere hot.
I never really thought about them needing a minimum temp, but thinking about it, if the temps outside are too low, the plant will just sit there and look at you and not do much else. GH only is probably the best advice, I doff my cap to you marsh !
Chillies need exactly the same temps and conditions as toms to prosper.
I keep all the chili plants in the greenhouse, where there keep nice and warm but it does help if i dont leave the door open at night.
