I have a single Alium approx 30" tall, beautiful large dark dusky pink head. Do I wait for it to self seed or propogate when seed head forms?

  • I think that going down the seed route will take several years before you get flowers. Others may have more experience than I do, but I think that your gardening efforts are better used in other directions. If you want some more alliums buy good quality bulbs from the expert growers.

There'll be loads of seed, let some do it's own thing, sow some and buy some more for instant action

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • I completely agree!

Thank you will let self seed take a chance and also buy some more. I obviously likes where it is so will stick with that space.
