Can anyone tell me if it is too late to move a hosta, after redesigning our garden last year have now found two hostas too close to each other.

Can anyone tell me if it is too late to move a hosta, after redesigning our garden last year have now found two hostas too close to each other.

Should be possible provided you take enough soil with it and water it in well in new place.
i've found hostas move very well if you do it as SSue suggests.
I moved one yesteday. Got a good size root ball and potted it. It was one of these soft leaved ones, so the snails and slugs were still munching on the leaves despite the pellets and the garlic spray. I chopped off the damaged leaves, gave a feed and a good soak and it has responded very well.
Thanks everyone will get hubby to move them tomorrow.
