Canna Lillies
Can anyone tell me whether there is any hope of resurrection for my cannas? I stored them as usual in newspaper and sand in the garage. Unfortunately I then forgot to keep an eye on them. They accidentally got covered by a plasic bag, sweated and almost rotted but still had some firmness. I dried them out and planted deep in a temporary planter and waited....nothing. I'm not sure what else I can do so any advice or hope would be really appreciated as I loved them dearly.

How long have they been n the planter? I take it they've been watered? Where has the planter been - is it in a warm spot?

A little watering on nearby bedding plants plus rain. A warm sunny spot against house wall.
And how long have they been in the planter without making an appearance?

6-8 weeks
I think I'd give them a bit longer - it's been a chilly spring - I planted some lillies weeks and weeks ago - some came up about 3 weeks ago just as I was giving up hope, but another pot showed no sign of movement until yesterday, when a shoot just peeked through the surface of the soil - keep an eye on them, don't let them get too wet or too dry, and I'll keep my fingers crossed - let us know when they appear

Thank you, its nice to have a bit of hope. I'll let you know if they do wake up.
Still waiting for any sign of life in the cannas.....ended up buying more, Canna Australia this time. Can anyone let me know any planting tips? I've got a nice sunny spot waiting for them amongst montbretia, purple heuchara and a tall purple flower who's name \i can't remember, with a few marigolds in front for good measure and I've just remembered I got a tiny euphorbia firecracker at a local plant sale.
