Very nice scotkat. I think a clematis would look very nice growing up it.
I have many clematis around my garden Lfarmer that I am not going to grow anything on my arbour the bush next to it has honeysuckle growing through whish is so close to it.
I still have to get a pannel at the end and clematis will be planted there.
Hello Scotcat. I have a new arbour too. We wanted one like yours, with a roof, and we saw one on the forum with a roof, but we live in France and couldn't find one anywhere. I found a mail order one, but it was nearly £900! Too much. Eventually we found ours as a flat pack from a DIY place in the middle of the countryside near a small village! Here it is, a bit in the distance:-
Scotkat - really classy. Lizzie - idyllic
Both have lovely arbours. In years to come you can always make a potting bench from them. Scotkat you might not know what I mean, my Mum's old one has been re-cycled.
BusyL is that you having 5 mins on yours ? Can I have the old wall behind it when you've done with it ?
That's OH in the arbour. It was his delayed birthday present, should have been February! It's a very old wall and it's staying put!
We will all just have to visit Lizzie
Great photo Busy-Lizzie

BusyL, you'll have to make him some cushions Loved both the arbours.
Gorgeous arbour! We have a different model, but used a similar colour scheme of Cuprinol Garden Shades Willow and Country Cream - mine is still in pieces however. Waiting for hubby to put it together once the raised beds are finished - we're a bit behind!
PS. We bought a David Austen rose, Spirit of Freedom, to climb it. I'm hoping the pink flowers will look nice against it....
Artjak, cushions are on the shopping list. What with all the gardening, don't think I've time to make them!
Was thinking of clematis up the sides, a bit shady, dappled shade under the pseudo-robinia, but will look up Spirit of Freedom - just love the name and I like David Austin roses.
