allium bulbs...should I split them

Hi everyone.

My alliums this year have come  up with multi flower heads..I like to keep them as singluar heads for cosmetic purposes

 

Should I have split them last year? Can I split them?

    hi

    yes you can split them but better of doing it , i done it last year and theyhave given a wonderfull display but can be split now but be carefull not to snap the flowerstem

    hi

    many thanks for that... i will wait until finished flowering i think.. as very windy here and dont want them to suffer from it.
