Anyone got a Nepaulese Clematis?  Before I splash the cash I'd like to know how hardy it is and suggestions for a deciduous climber to compliment it would be nice too.

If you go to rhs org it will tell you but it's hardy in mild areas of the UKimage

It's one of those summer dormant plants which always seems a bit odd to me.

Logan says its not fully hardy, that plus the summer dormancy would put me off.

    It's about a tenner nut.

I should have updated this thread to say that I found a discussion about it at the British Clematis Society's forum that told me all I wanted to know:

It was the winter flowering and scent that attracted me.

  • Grow it through a summer flowering climber to disguise the dormant stage and enjoy the winter display when the summer climber is dormant. ????
