Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and was wondering if someone could help identify this lovely plant? It was given to me by a family member who got it from someone else and none of us know what it is. Thanks!!
I might be way off mark here but it looks like a very pale Bay tree to me.
looks like a Camellia although it looks a bit under the weather.
Calcifuge in limey soil?
I don't know my acid lovers but would say this is one of them. Growth style wrong for a bay I reckon KEF
Skimmia Japonica, almost certain. Anyone else ?
It does look as if it needs a good feed- as the leaves are very pale. Hard to say what it is without any other info. Maybe it'll be clearer when it'sperked up a bit!
..I think it's a sickly Skimmia Japonica... feed with sequestrine or suchlike...
It has that yellow sick look I associate with the skimmia WW
Yeah Nut, thought that after I'd posted, leaves fit, but shape wrong, got giddy thought I knew one!
It's the colour that put you off KEF
Thanks everyone! It is definitely a Skimmia after looking it up on Google images, because I recognise the flowers from last year (before it became all sick and yellow ). I will now make it my mission to bring back to life, if possible! Salino, thanks for hte tip to feed with sequestrine!
