But what if it had been the perfect plant which would go perfectly in the perfect spot and was perfectly attractive to all manner of perfect pollinators - would you still walk away? Could you forget it's name? Could someone called Waynetta become queen, prime minister or even a newsreader??
I too remember before William was born talk of the baby being a girl and if so it was unlikely that there would be a member of the Royal family called anything common like say for example.....Chelsea!!! A Chelsey Davey by any other spelling.....?
Actually B3 I came kind of close.I wanted a very smelly rose for a particular spot and I read up and found just the right one and guess what! A very ordinary name. Very ordinary indeed. One could almost say disappointing but there she sits and flowers her little socks off with little or no attention and makes me feel guilty while she's doing it for not liking her name!! Shame on me!
It's ok so long as you didn't know when you planted it. You are not required to dig it up if at a later date it is found to have a suspect provenance. I think you'll find that the law of the garden is clear on this.

no chance B3. I seem to remember that Princess Katherine was once called Kate Middleton.

Today I found a plant with no label so I bought it! Looks suspiciously like Cherry Cola to me!
Does that count?
