Rhododendrons

I have a Rhododendron in my garden and it has looked very poorly for a long time now, I can't remember when it last flowered (I think I fed it with something that obviously didn't agree with it - a long time ago, and it hasn't flowered since.)  Anyway, in the last week it has flowered and looks lovely, but I would like to improve it and give it a little TLC for not dying on me, any suggestions anybody?

...a handful of Azalea and Rhododendron granular feed around the base will help - it feeds for 6 months... plus a thick mulch with ericaceous compost... I would repeat this every year...

Thankyou so much Salino, I am a novice gardner and need all the help I can get. I will do as you've suggested and hopefully my rhod will repay me with plenty of flowers. Thanks again.
