Has anyone any idea why my young crabapple tree is losing its leaves and on one branch the bark is peeling off. It came in to leaf and bud really well, but this die back has happened very fast. Thhe new shoots are shrivelling too. Grateful for advice.

Could be brown rot blossom blight,are any of the small branches/twigs affected?
Yes - most of the small branches are losing leaves and shoots. Any advice?
Remove and destroy as much of the infected material as possible, and apply 3-4 treatments of an approved fungicide making sure to thoroughly treat the leaf and twig surfaces.
