small garden pond pump ?

Hi i am digging a 6ft by 6ft garden pond and was wondering do i have to have a pump as i cant really get electric to the pond as it quite far away ? thanks

    Try a solar pump, no wiring and they are very good these days.  My son put one in when his electric one died, and has actually had to reduce the amount of spray it put out as it emptied his pond in 2 days!!  Much better for all, environment and pond.

    That's good to hear Bookertoo. I've often wondered how efficient these solar pumps really are.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
