Does anyone know of a way to get rid of red spider mite on Leylandi? I have webs and red coloured patches on them. Wish i could get rid of the trees but too expensive!

Unfortunately, i can't get a hose near enough as the tap isn't near. I know they like warm weather, but do they die off or do the eggs stay dormant and still hatch in the spring? Sorry if it's a silly question, but i am very much a novice gardener. I have read that they are resistant to insecticide.
