What is it?

 Can anyone tell me what this is? It looks like an asparagus but I have another 3 in a different part of the garden and one is over 60cm high. Very fast growing too.

    I have never tried it. I assume i just steam it? I will look it up. luckily its in my new veggie patch lol. that it lucky

    Oh, if you've never eaten it before you ought to be aware that it makes some people's pee smell odd afterwards - doesn't last long but can be a bit alarming if you don't know why image

    Within minutes. Dove!!  But I don't think there will be much effect from one, two or three spears.  We pigged out on Pembrokeshire asparagus at the weekend.  Delicious!

    Makes a nice quiche with a not too strong cheese.  maybe some ricotta.
