iris problem

Last weekend a beautiful vivd blue flower on a small iris (don't know type) and today the flowers are curled inwards, leaves have holes in them, but no sign of damage to the rhizome except that it is not hard. What is causing this, will it be a problem to other different irises and what do I do about it?

Not sure what that could be, apart from maybe they need a drink? Iris are one of my favourites, I waited for them to flower for ages last year, they finally came out beautifully. Two mornings later I came out to discover all the flowers had been eaten by one fat slug!!!image

I have never used slug pellets before but this year!!!

The rizome  is usualy part in soil so it can get the hot sun. I get snails  on my Iris leaves which munch away leaving holes .other than that I cannot  think what it could be sorry.
